The Vanishing Bomb is a Light class thrown gadget that causes teammates caught by it to go invisible for a few seconds.
Usage
The Vanishing Bomb can be selected as one of three gadgets of any Light build loadout.
Holding the primary trigger will prepare a high-velocity overhand throw. Holding the secondary trigger will prepare a low-velocity underhand throw. While preparing a throw, the gadget's trajectory is indicated up to the point where it triggers on impact. Releasing the trigger will execute the throw, whereas swapping to a different item will cancel it.

Stats
Effects
The Vanishing Bomb can be deployed by throwing it. The moment it impacts on a surface or contestant, it explodes into an area of effect. Any teammates (including the user) caught in the area will become invisible for a few seconds. The invisibility effect is similar to that of the Cloaking Device, although the sound cue of the Vanishing Bomb is more difficult for opponents to hear when moving near them, meaning it offers superior stealth.
It is possible to enable the Cloaking Device right before the effect of the Vanishing Bomb ends, which will transition from one invisibility to the next and bypass the sound cue that would normally play when activating the Cloaking Device.

Guide
Strengths
- The Vanishing Bomb can provide a fairly long period of invisibility for a group of teammates including the user.
Weaknesses
- The Vanishing Bomb cannot hide any contestant who is carrying something such as the Cash Box.
- The Vanishing Bomb makes a loud sound when activated, revealing your location to opponents.
Tactics
- A Vanishing Bomb should be used at some distance from the target, or they will be able to hear its recognizable sound cue.
- Activating Cloaking Device near the end of the invisibility provided by the Vanishing Bomb allows the contestant to seamlessly transition to the other invisibility, effectively extending it. There will not be a visual or sound trigger for entering the cloaking device this way.
Item Mastery
Item mastery XP can be earned by striking the user and teammates with the Vanishing Bomb.
Each time a certain XP threshold is reached, the item levels up. This does not improve the item, but rewards a unique item customization.
