(Redirected from Powershift)
Power Shift is a casual 5v5 gamemode where two teams compete to escort a platform through the arena.
Gameplay
- The platform will start moving shortly after a contestant stands on it.
- If under contention, the platform stops until only one team is present on it.
- The platform speed is determined by how many contestants from one team are on it; maximum speed is reached at 3 contestants.
- The platform will tear through any structure in its path.
- The platform can be rocked back and forth by certain forces, such as explosions.
- Goo that is attached to the platform will slow it down slightly.
- Contestants who become trapped under the platform will take continuous damage.
- Players can switch between their contestants and loadouts between respawns.
- Respawns are in waves, where the respawn timer will line up for multiple contestants at once.
- Respawn location is dependent on the location of the platform along the track.
Win Conditions
- The game ends when one team escorts the platform to their goal, or when the timer expires.
- If time expires when the platform is being contested, the game will enter a 5-minute overtime.
- Overtime ends when the team on the platform has escorted it onto the opposing team's side, and the platform is not being contested.
- If none of these conditions are met because the platform has never been controlled by either teams, overtime will run out and a random team will be declared the victor.
