The Cerberus 12GA is a Medium class break-action shotgun designed to deal high damage per shot in a wide pellet spread at a very close distance.
If enough pellets connect, the target will be ignited, dealing a small amount of damage over time. This is not limited to contestants, and can be used to combust Gas and burn Goo.

Guide
Strengths
- The Cerberus 12GA's accuracy is unaffected by moving, and does not need to aim down sights to attain maximum accuracy. This makes it possible to strafe around an opponent while hip-firing at them, all while maintaining high accuracy.
- The Cerberus 12GA (as well as the CL-40) can be highly effective in matches with multiple Light build contestants, as the Cerberus 12GA will eliminate a Light contestant in two shots, even if neither shot is fully accurate.
- Hitting all pellets on an enemy will deal 108 damage, meaning a Medium opponent can be killed in only 3 hits.
Weaknesses
- Reloading the Cerberus 12GA's shells takes a long time, leading to long downtimes between firing.
- High pellet dispersion means that enemies that are not close to the user will not take much damage from a shot.
- An undamaged Heavy contestant may mean trouble for a Cerberus 12GA user, as they take several slow shots and a reload to take down.
Item Mastery
Item mastery XP can be earned by damaging and eliminating opponents with the Cerberus 12GA.
Each time a certain XP threshold is reached, the item levels up. This does not improve the item, but rewards a unique item customization.

This weapon has a real-world equivalent in the form of the Chiappa Triple Threat. The version seen in The Finals, however, is slightly different due to the inclusion of a pistol grip as well as cosmetic furniture changes.
